My talk on Actuarial Science - the quantification of the financial implications of fortuitous events - will include an overview of the actuarial field (what an actuary is/does, where they work, career outlook, test process) as well as an introduction to some basic actuarial concepts (loss development, trend, on-levels). It will not go into a lot of depth mathematically.
